The school provides a snack (cold or hot) and lunch. Meals are prepared daily. Students can choose from various menus, including meatless and special diet options. Snacks are served during the main break, and lunch is served after classes. Students collaborate with the kitchen in designing the menu. During school hours, students can also get unsweetened tea for free and fresh fruit in the school hallways. There are water fountains with cold and hot water in the hallways. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Classes are held only in the morning, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:10 p.m., rarely until 3:00 p.m., with a 30-minute main break in between. Pre-class sessions are very rare during preparation for the matura exam in the 3rd and 4th years. The number of class hours is determined by the curriculum. <\/p>

In the International Baccalaureate program (International School), classes are also held in the afternoon.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Which foreign languages can I choose at Be\u017eigrad High School?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

English is taught as the first foreign language at Be\u017eigrad High School, and for the second foreign language, students can choose between German, French, and Spanish. Upon enrollment, students can also choose an extended program for German or French. The program is intended for students with prior knowledge of German or French. In the Gymnasium (\u0161) program, the second foreign language is beginner-level German. <\/p>

In connection with German, the school also offers free preparation for the DSD (Deutsches Sprachdiplom II) exam, conducted by a native German teacher from Germany. Passing the exam enables students to study at universities in German-speaking countries. <\/p>

In connection with French, similar preparation courses for the DELF (Dipl\u00f4me d’\u00e9tudes en langue fran\u00e7aise) exam are offered, led by a native French teacher from France.<\/p>

At the school, we also offer students the opportunity to take elective foreign language courses. In recent years, students have taken French, Latin, FCE certificate preparation, and Chinese. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

All students at the school participate in the student council. Class representatives attend monthly student council meetings. The president of the Be\u017eigrad High School Student Council is informed about most events taking place at the school, serves as the student representative at events, addresses students, and occasionally also school guests. The school student council actively shapes daily life at the high school by co-organizing events such as dance performances, talent shows, science, cultural, and sports fairs, film marathons, student dances, etc. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the school, we devote a great deal of attention to working with gifted and talented students in specific fields. In our work with students, we follow the Concept of Educational Work with Gifted Students in Secondary Education. We offer gifted students around 80 different clubs and extracurricular activities, various preparations for competitions and the competitions themselves, research projects, a science camp, lectures by external experts from various fields, and other activities. <\/p>

All activities are led by experienced internal and external mentors who work with gifted students through individual sessions or group preparation in the form of workshops, lectures, field exercises, laboratory exercises, collaborative learning, etc.<\/p>

At our school, we provide every student with the opportunity to develop their potential, regardless of whether they have been identified and registered as gifted or not. Success in one area will positively influence the development of an individual\u2019s self-esteem even in the face of failure in another area; therefore, we offer these activities to everyone, not just identified gifted students. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the school library, students have the opportunity to practice on a hybrid piano, which, due to its electric piano functions, does not disturb other users of the space.<\/p>

By prior arrangement, students attending piano lessons at KGBL are also permitted to practice on the piano in the new hall.<\/p>

Students who play other instruments may practice in empty classrooms after class by prior arrangement.<\/p>
