DELF - French Language Diploma
In collaboration with the French Institute in Slovenia, we have opened a center at Gimnazija Bežigrad to administer written and oral exams for the DELF Junior certificate for the Central Slovenia region.
The DELF Junior certificate includes a group and an individual exam that assess four language skills. It can be taken at levels A1, A2, B1, and B2.
DELF exams are an excellent opportunity for young people to demonstrate their knowledge of the French language and be rewarded for their work during their schooling.
The DELF certificate is recognized worldwide and is valid for life. It also serves as official proof of young people’s language proficiency in French, which can be an advantage when applying to universities in Francophone countries or with future employers.
The exam content is tailored to the lifestyle of young people and their areas of interest. Candidates will be directed to the exam version that corresponds to their level of proficiency.
Candidates take two tests:
- a group test, which includes listening comprehension, reading comprehension, and written expression, and
- an individual test, which includes oral expression and interaction.
DELF is a test that assesses the ability to communicate with French speakers in written and oral form. In each task, candidates are placed in real-life situations.
German Language Diploma II (DSD II)
Since 1999, students at our school have had the opportunity to take the German Language Diploma II (DSD II) exam, which is administered under the auspices of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK) of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The DSD II is an internationally recognized certificate of German language proficiency required for admission to many German-speaking universities.
Level of knowledge and significance of the language diploma
The diploma corresponds to levels B2/C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and is issued by the Central Agency for German Schools Abroad (ZfA).
Depending on the number of points earned, the certificate confirms:

- level C1.
The certificate is a significant advantage both for further studies and in the job market.
Preparation process
The exam is taken by 4th-year students of Gimnazija Bežigrad.
Preparation:
